Trek Start:

  • Typically starts in Soti Khola or Arughat.
  • Requires obtaining necessary permits, including the Manaslu Restricted Area Permit.

  • Basic amenities like beds, blankets, and shared bathrooms.


  • Teahouses offer meals such as Dal Bhat, and rice dishes, while lower altitude also has western food menu.
  • Limited menu items, especially at higher altitudes.
  • Carrying energy bars and snacks is advisable.

Typical Day:

  • Begin early in the morning for the best weather and views.
  • Trek for around 6-8 hours a day, with breaks.
  • Reach a teahouse for the night to rest and explore the local culture.


  • Limited mobile network coverage, especially in remote areas.
  • Some teahouses might offer slow and unreliable Wi-Fi.

Electricity and Water:

  • Charging devices may have an additional cost.
  • Hot showers might be available for an extra fee.
