Detailed Itinerary of North Annapurna Base Camp

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the airport. You will then be led to your hotel.

  •  Evening walk and optional welcome dinner.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

  • Second day in Kathmandu, you will stroll around some of the most popular sites in the capital. Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Patan or Kathmandu Durbar Square, etc.

  • Make sure to collect all the necessary gear. Consult with the agent or guide for the trek and gear brief.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara

  • You will have a long drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, which will take approximately 6 to 7 hours. During the journey, you will have a pleasant view along the way. 

  • Spend your time strolling around the beautiful Lakeside and dine in one of the finest restaurants in the area.

  • Spend your night in a hotel near Lakeside. 

Day 4: Pokhara to Tatopani to Upper Narchang

  • Drive from Pokhara for about 5 to 6 hours to reach Tatopani.

  • You will begin your trek to the north Annapurna Base Camp from Tatopani.

  • Within a 2-hour hike, you will reach Upper Narchang, where you will spend your night.

Day 5: Upper Narchang to Chhotepa

  • Today, you will trek to Chhotepa from Narchang. Along the way, you will pass Lekhgaun, Ghalemdi, and Mristi Khola.

  • You will pass along a pleasant way to reach Chhotepa, a place to spend your night.

  • Camp in a peaceful atmosphere under the blinking stars.

Day 6: Chhotepa to Sandhikharka

  • After having an early breakfast, start your trek early. Walk along a tranquil route, relaxing your body, soul, and mind. 

  • After walking for 6 to 7 hours, you will reach Sandhikhara, today’s camping spot. 

Day 7: Sandhikharka to North Annapurna Base Camp

  • Today will be the big day as you will be heading to the north Annapurna Base Camp. After having an early breakfast, quickly pack your tent up and start walking, as today is the day to remember.

  • After 7 to 8 hours of walking, you will reach the North ABC. Spend a night at the camp in the North Base Camp of Annapurna.

Day 8: North Annapurna Base Camp to Sandhikharka

  • After the once-in-a-lifetime experience in the picturesque North Annapurna Base Camp, descend back to the Sandhikharka with tons of memories and photographs.  

  • After walking for 6 to 7 hours on the tranqline trail with the fresh breeze flowing from the snow-capped mountains and the stunning landscape beauty, you will reach Sandhikharka to camp for the night.

Day 9: Sandhikharka to Narchang

  • After having an early breakfast, pack all your stuff. Then continue your journey.

  • After hiking for approximately 6 to 7 hours, you will reach the Narchang, the last spot you need to camp in this trek. Spend your night in Narchang.

Day 10: Lower Narchang to Tatopani to Pokhara

  • Start your trek early from Narchang for 1 to 2 hours to Tatopani.

  • From Tatopani, get your ride, which will take you to Pokhara after  6 to 7 hours.

  • Spend your night in one of the luxurious hotels in Pokhara near the beautiful Fewa Lake.

Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu

  • Drive through villages and undulating hills to Kathmandu after breakfast. After checking into your hotel, spend the afternoon touring the well-known tourist destination of Thamel.

  • Bring home handcrafted mementos and think about getting a massage or spa treatment to unwind.

  • Savour a final Nepali meal in the evening, complete with traditional music and cultural performances.

Day 12: Departure from Kathmandu

  • You’ll be transferred to the airport according to your flight schedule.
